About this trip
What a Malaysia trip looks like
Malaysia works as three short stays rather than one long one. Kuala Lumpur is the arrival city and needs two nights. Genting Highlands is an hour above it by road and cable car: cooler, with a theme park and casinos. Langkawi is the island, reached by a short domestic flight.
It is often paired with Singapore, and the two together make a comfortable week: the road or rail crossing between them is straightforward and both are easy to move around.
What it does better than most of the region is value. The hotels are a category above what the same money buys in Singapore, and the food is as good.

Petronas Twin Towers
452 metres, joined by a skybridge on the 41st floor. Timed entry, and the fountains below run after dark.
Batu Caves
A limestone cave temple north of the city, up 272 painted steps under a 42-metre gold statue of Murugan.
Genting Highlands
A resort plateau an hour above Kuala Lumpur: cool air, an indoor theme park and the casinos.
Awana SkyWay
The cable car up to Genting, with glass-floored cabins over the rainforest.
KL Tower
276 metres, with a 360-degree deck and a glass box that hangs out over the edge of it.
Bukit Bintang
The shopping and eating district: Pavilion, Sungei Wang, and the Jalan Alor hawker strip after dark.

Are the prices per person?+
We quote per person on twin sharing, and we quote per enquiry rather than publishing a rate. Prices move with your travel dates, the hotel category and availability on the day you book. A published number would be wrong for most people who read it.
Can I change the hotels or the number of nights?+
Yes. Tell us what you want changed (a cheaper hotel, one night less, a different city) and we revise the itinerary until it fits, then confirm the booking.
Is the visa included?+
Visa-free entry for Indian passport holders under the current scheme. Confirm before booking. Visa fees are not included in the package unless the quote says so, and we confirm the current requirement for your passport and dates before you pay.
When is the best time to go?+
December to April on the west coast. Travelling outside that window is usually cheaper, and we will tell you honestly what you would be trading away.
What do you need to confirm the booking?+
