About this trip
What a Goa trip looks like
The north and the south are two different holidays. North Goa (Calangute, Baga, Anjuna) is busy, cheap and where the markets and the nightlife are. South Goa is quieter and greener, with wider beaches and resorts set back from them.
Most trips pick one and visit the other for a day. Splitting the nights between both costs you a transfer and a check-in for not much gain over four nights.
Old Goa and the Latin quarter at Panjim are the half-day worth doing that is not a beach: the basilica, the cathedral, and the painted houses at Fontainhas.

Where you actually go
Calangute and Baga
The busiest sand in north Goa: shacks, water sports and the strip behind them.
Anjuna
Cliffs above the sea, the Wednesday flea market, and the sunset most people photograph.
Colva and Benaulim
The long, flat, much quieter beaches of the south, with room to walk.
Palolem
A crescent bay in the far south, calm enough to swim and the prettiest beach in the state.
Basilica of Bom Jesus
A UNESCO-listed baroque church at Old Goa, holding the remains of St Francis Xavier.
Se Cathedral
The largest church in Asia, across the road from the basilica, with one surviving bell tower.
Fort Aguada
A seventeenth-century Portuguese fort above the Mandovi mouth, with its lighthouse intact.
Chapora Fort
Clifftop ruins above Vagator, climbed for the view down the coast rather than the fort itself.
Fontainhas
The Latin quarter of Panjim: narrow lanes, painted houses and the best short walk in Goa.
Dudhsagar Falls
Four tiers on the Karnataka border, reached by jeep through the reserve. Best just after the monsoon.

Are the prices per person?+
We quote per person on twin sharing, and we quote per enquiry rather than publishing a rate. Prices move with your travel dates, the hotel category and availability on the day you book. A published number would be wrong for most people who read it.
Can I change the hotels or the number of nights?+
Yes. Tell us what you want changed (a cheaper hotel, one night less, a different city) and we revise the itinerary until it fits, then confirm the booking.
Is the visa included?+
No visa is needed. This is domestic travel. Where a permit is required, as in Ladakh or parts of the north-east, we arrange it with the booking.
When is the best time to go?+
November to February. Travelling outside that window is usually cheaper, and we will tell you honestly what you would be trading away.
What do you need to confirm the booking?+

What is your cancellation policy?+
