About this trip
What a Andaman trip looks like
Three islands, joined by ferries: Port Blair for the history, Havelock for the beaches and the diving, Neil for a slower version of Havelock. The ferry timetable is the constraint the whole itinerary is built around.
Havelock is where most of the nights go. Radhanagar is the beach people come for, and the diving and snorkelling off Elephant Beach is some of the best in the country.
Book the ferries with the package. The fast catamarans sell out in season, and the alternative is a government ferry that takes three times as long.

Where you actually go
Cellular Jail
The colonial prison at Port Blair, now a national memorial, with a light-and-sound show after dark.
Radhanagar Beach
On Havelock, and rated among the best in Asia, a long white curve with forest behind it.
Elephant Beach
Reached by boat from Havelock, and where the snorkelling and the water sports are.
Kala Pathar
Havelock’s quieter beach, black rocks at one end, and the fallback when Elephant is closed for weather.
Neil Island
Smaller and slower than Havelock: Bharatpur for snorkelling, Laxmanpur for the sunset.
Natural Bridge
A coral arch on Neil, exposed only at low tide, which is why the visit is timed rather than scheduled.
Ross Island
The abandoned British administrative centre, half swallowed by fig roots, a short boat from Port Blair.
North Bay
Coral close to Port Blair, seen from a glass-bottom boat or with a sea walk.
Chidiya Tapu
The sunset point south of Port Blair, with a bird sanctuary behind the beach.
Baratang
Limestone caves and a mud volcano north of Port Blair, reached through a mangrove creek.

Are the prices per person?+
We quote per person on twin sharing, and we quote per enquiry rather than publishing a rate. Prices move with your travel dates, the hotel category and availability on the day you book. A published number would be wrong for most people who read it.
Can I change the hotels or the number of nights?+
Yes. Tell us what you want changed (a cheaper hotel, one night less, a different city) and we revise the itinerary until it fits, then confirm the booking.
Is the visa included?+
No visa is needed. This is domestic travel. Where a permit is required, as in Ladakh or parts of the north-east, we arrange it with the booking.
When is the best time to go?+
October to May. Travelling outside that window is usually cheaper, and we will tell you honestly what you would be trading away.
What do you need to confirm the booking?+
